Beeswax is a basic ingredient in making balms, sticks, protective creams, makeup and candles.
But it does not thicken cosmetic preparations. It has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
In the hot oil phase:
- For a balm: up to 10% beeswax. The balms are great when you want to support that essential oils act essentially on the skin.
- For a conventional cream (prepared with an emulsifier): up to 3% of beeswax to be incorporated into the oily phase of the preparation. Beeswax helps make the thickest cream stabilizes the emulsion and provides power "film" (form a continuous film on the skin).
Equivalence: 1 ml = 0.95 g.
Melting point of beeswax: 65 ° C.
